Watch this video and learn how to replace your crankshaft and rebuild the bottom end of any two-stroke or four stroke engine. This video show how to use the proper tools the Tusk crankshaft puller(great tool, I have one used it often and it saves tons of frustration and prevents damage to the cases etc). Some tips to make things easier for your crankshaft replacement project:
1. Take pictures during dis assembly, especially of the transmission, these can be a great help when you reassemble the engine.
2. Watch out for shim washers on the transmission shaft, they are there for proper gear alinement and are extremely important. Take notes if necessary, pictures can be a big help.
3. Loctite all fasteners inside the engine. If they fall out the damage resulting can totally destroy an engine.
